K-12 Programs

Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) Aerospace Engineering

In 2016, SC Aerospace was instrumental in working with the SC Department of Education to bring the SREB Aerospace Engineering Curriculum to South Carolina. It is a multi-disciplinary project-based learning program created to build a foundation for a career or higher learning in aerospace. Students take four courses focused on the fundamentals of aerospace technology and advanced applications. Currently, there are seven schools across the state that have implemented the curriculum.

Boeing DreamLearner Program
The goal of DreamLearners is to enhance student and teacher awareness of Boeing South Carolina (BSC) through learning experiences and exposure to business and industry, and as a result inspire the next generation of BSC teammates. The program provides students an introduction to the 787 Dreamliner and Boeing’s production process, as well as an overview of aerodynamics and flight. At the same time, DreamLearners aligns with state academic standards for science and math.  For more info contact Frank Hatten.
